Terry was born in Pawhuska and is a lifetime resident of Osage County graduating from Shidler High school. He served the residents of Osage county with the Shidler fire department for over 20 years serving as a firefighter/emt.
He began his career in Law enforcement in 2005 as a reserve officer for the Shidler Police Department and then as the Chief of Police. He was employed by Sheriff Ty Koch In December of 2007 as a patrol deputy where he worked all districts of Osage County. Sheriff Eddie Virden promoted him to the rank of Lieutenant in the investigations division in 2017 where he was assigned to the district 10 task force. During this Time he was also assigned as the commander of the Special operations team until he was assigned to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotic’s and Dangerous Drugs Methamphetamine task force in 2022. In August of 2024 he was promoted to Chief of investigations where he oversees the criminal investigations division, Internal investigations, manages the report system and insures that reports are completed and investigated.
Terry has investigations that have resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of oilfield equipment and other property being recovered and returned to victims. He has also worked numerous criminal investigations that have resulted in not only state convictions but also convictions through the Federal system, to include Arson, murder’s, property, sex crimes, larceny, and Damage to energy faculties.
Terry has completed over 1700 hours of continuing education and has an advanced CLEET certification and is a CLEET certified instructor.
