Lensie Stephenson is a longtime member of the Osage County community, having graduated from Caney Valley High School in Ramona, Oklahoma, in 2015. She began her career with the Osage County Sheriff’s Office in 2019 as a Detention Officer. Over the past five years, Lensie has advanced through the ranks, serving both as a Sergeant and Booking Sergeant, and was promoted to Lieutenant in December 2023.
With certifications in crisis intervention, cell searches, cell extractions, and contraband identification, Lieutenant Stephenson is well-equipped to handle the demands of her role. In addition to overseeing the training and development of all detention officers, she leads the Jail Correctional Emergency Response Team.
Lieutenant Stephenson also manages various inmate programs, including the GED program, parenting classes, and the women’s re-entry program. Her responsibilities extend to ensuring the safety and security of both staff and inmates, as well as the overall management of jail staff and the inmate population.
Deeply passionate about her work within the Osage County detention facility, Lensie is dedicated to continuing her career in this field, doing what she loves and making a positive impact on the community.
